THE RACE IN THE RACE

The wind blew violently against the train while it crossed the mountains in the dark of the night.
THeir departure dragged itself close to midnight as the horses needed some extra checks on the station,
not many entrants made it even to Salzburg this year. Was it the amount of snow? or the cold nights in Obertauern?
Vidar had a bad feeling after the 4th stop of the train this night. It had already dawned when the train stood since two hours,
not moving along through a pass. His superstitious mind couldnt handle it any longer.
After quickly notifying his trail partner, Vidar decided he would not go any further this year.
One bad omen was more than enough not wanting to risk the health of his horse...or possibly some other entrants.
Leaving everybody the freedom to decide...he simply anounced through the wagons that he is breaking away now
to Imperial Stables, in Niederöblarn. The road would lead through Germany back to Austria, about the same distance
the riders would go in Norway.
The riders would face less cold temperatures....but massive amounts of snow and an unplanned route.
Mounting Alexandro already in the wagon, he jumped out into the snow, seeing who else felt inspired..or insane enough to join.

ASSIGNMENT THREE

Vidar is a very superstitious rider. And a trail leader. Your entrant can decide if they follow the planned route with Helena
from Oslo to Ringebu with the challenge of the striking cold weather, or follow Vidar on a strange and surprising ride through
Germany to Imperial Stables.
/this does not affect your placing in the trail as the distance is the same, but there are now two finish lines.
(people who got their transport pics and Norway entries already done or started, can easily just go along as planned : ) )
- as for the germany entries, reference images will follow shortly, but otherwise, very close to austrian terrain! -

TASK

Draw your rider (eventually horse if their mount is on board of the train. Some wait in Oslo..for example those who live closer to that checkpoint)
on the train, deciding to cuddle up in the blankets and wait until the alpine workers free the train, or help them shove away the snow from the rails,
eventually team up with others to bring hot tea and warm food through the wagons or calming their horses.
Or draw them tacking up their horse aboard and get ready to ride to the new destination.
How does your team react to this change of routine?
