Description With the match finished and the points handed out, Sable and her teammates walked out of the match lobby and into the city square. They waved goodbye to the random fourth member and sat down at the nearest table. Cherri, a young inkling girl with bright red tentacles and cute freckles, was the first to speak up.

“What a great match! You two were awesome with the pew-pew and the splat!” Cherri mimed splatting the baddies from the last turf war.

“Yeah we sure killed it,” said Lorelei, another inkling girl with grey tentacles and sharp grey eyes behind her round spectacles. “Especially you, Sabes. You rolled right over everyone.” Sable blushed at both the praise and the nickname Lorelei had given her.

“Thanks. I really gave it everything I had.” Sable was an octoling with light blue eyes and vibrant green hair. She was new to both the team and the city, so she constantly pushed herself to show her teammates how capable she was.

“I think we’ve earned a break from turf war for a bit,” Cherri said as she stretched. “What do ya wanna do now?” A growling reply came from Sable's stomach. Cherri grinned as Sable winced, “Guess someone could use a snack.”

“Yeah I’m pretty hungry after all those matches,” Sable replied while patting her slim belly. “I could probably eat the great zapfish.” Cherri and Lorelei looked at each other nervously. “N-not that I would of course! I would never harm a zapfish. I'm not like the Octarians I swear!” The two inklings burst into a fit of giggles.

“We know Sabes. We were just messing with you.” Lorelei smirked at her panicked friend. “I’m pretty hungry myself. Why don’t you go grab us something from the Crust Bucket? Get me a swim-speed apple drink and an order of whatever you’re getting.”

“I’ll take the same,” Cherri chirped, “except make my drink lemon.”

Sable got up out of her chair and made her way over to Crusty Sean’s food truck. As she looked at the menu, her stomach growled again. She decided to grab a big order and hoped her friends could handle the same.

“What's kraken?! Oh a fresh face.” Crusty Sean peered down at the octoling who was drooling a little from looking at the tasty food. “What’ll it be?” Sable wiped the corners of her mouth and dictated her order to the shopkeep.

“I need three galactic seanwiches, three triple-fried galactic shwaffles and three drinks. Apple, lemon and a special-charge shake please. Extra thick.” Sable placed the tickets for the order on the counter.

“That’s a lotta food for one girl. Ya sure you can eat all that?”
The octoling chuckled, “It’s not all for me. My friends and I are having lunch.”

Crusty Sean adjusted his glasses with a claw. “Alright well if ya got the tickets to pay, who am I to question it. I’ll have it all fried up in no time.” In just a few minutes he had three huge trays of food on the counter. “Here’s your order. Peace!”

It took Sable three trips to get all the food back to the table where her friends sat. Lorelei's eyes were wide and Cherri's mouth was agape. “You got all this food for us?”

“Yeah is something wrong?” Sable asked, her brow knit with worry. “I ordered you both the same thing as I got just like you asked.”

“I knew you were hungry, but this is a lot of food for one squid.”

“That’s ok I’m pretty hungry myself. I could probably eat a couple baby zapfish.” Lorelei took a big bite out if her seanwich and gave Sable a friendly smile.

Sable looked down at her own tray. She had ordered the two largest things on the menu, but she really was extra hungry after putting in so much effort in turf war. Maybe it was too much food for one squid, but she was an octoling (not that it made much of a difference). She picked up her galactic seanwich and bit in. The flavors of sausage, tempura, mayo and dozens of others danced in her mouth. The crispy crunch of the tempura batter and the snap of the hot dog made for an amazing texture combination. Sable quickly shoved more of the seanwich into her mouth, almost moaning in delight at the experience she was having.

“Are ya enjoying yourself?,” Cherri asked as Sable gulped down the last of her seanwich and licked the sauces off her fingers. “You really were hungry.” Sable smiled at her friend.

“It was so delicious I couldn’t help myself. I’ve never had anything like it,” Sable exclaimed, wiping her face with a napkin.

“Just don’t eat this stuff all the time,” Lorelei said, two-thirds through her own seanwich. “You’ll blow up like a balloon and get splatted on the battlefield.”

“I won’t, but it is a nice treat,” Sable said. “Speaking of treats.” She turned her attention to the tower of shwaffle before her. A monument to gluttony, the triple‐fried galactic shwaffle was a double decker waffle, each topped with chocolate and cream. On top was a large tempura shrimp surrounded by candies. Sable used a fork and knife to cut out a large bite with everything on it. She placed the shwaffle into her mouth and her eyes lit up.

“Oh yum!” she cried out with a mouthful of food. It was even more flavorful than her seanwich. It was really sweet with a hint of savory from the tempura. Chocolate and cream smeared the edges of her mouth as she dug in with the same gusto as before.

“Slow down,” Lorelei said as she finished her seanwich. “Your shwaffle isn’t going anywhere.” It was almost too late for the warning as Sable forked the last huge bite of her dessert. She chewed it up, her eyes shut as she savored the flavor, and gulped down the shwaffle where it joined the rest of the meal in her gut.

“That was the best food I’ve ever had,” Sable said. She grabbed her shake and sucked on it while she rubbed the bump that had formed from her stuffed stomach. She had never eaten that much food before, so this bloat was a new experience. She covered her mouth as a burp escaped past her lips.

“That seanwich was delicious, but there is no way I can eat this shwaffle,” Cherri said, pushing her dessert to Sable. “Do you think you can eat it for me?”

“I don’t know,” Sable said. “My meal was really filling.”

“Didn’t you say you were so hungry you could eat the great zapfish? This tiny shwaffle is nothing compared to that.” Cherri put on her best pouty face. “Besides, you can’t reheat a shwaffle and I don’t want it to go to waste.”

Sable looked at the second dessert sitting before her. Could she possibly eat another whole shwaffle? Her own gigantic meal was churning away in her belly making her feel bloated and full. She didn’t want to let her teammate down though, so she picked up her fork and knife and dug in despite noises of protest from her bulging gut. She ate much more slowly than before, each bite a challenge. With every swallow Sable could feel the pressure in her stomach growing.

Under the table her shorts were losing their battle. The straining button finally popped off after trying desperately to keep a hold on her expanding gut. Sable sighed in relief, now free from the confines of the form fitting pants. With renewed spirit she cut up the rest of the shwaffle and then ate with one hand while rubbing her bloated tummy with the other.

“I finished. Ohh…” Sable sat back after swallowing the last bite of her second shwaffle. Her shirt had ridden up to expose her new girth and she rubbed it feeling how tightly packed everything was in her belly. The final morsel felt like a rock travelling down her throat. Her stomach made a sickly gurgle sound as the food reached its destination. Sable clamped a hand over her mouth as she felt something shoot back up her esophagus. The pressure was too great though and she let out a massive wet belch, “Bwoooooorp!”

“Woah ya actually ate the whole thing,” exclaimed Cherri. “You must have been starvin'!” She looked at Sable’s distended gut, “I’ve never seen an inkling put away that much food at once. Octolings must have really stretchy insides.”

“Yeah we can *ugh* really pack it in.” Sable knew this was a lot for even an octoling to eat. She felt like she was going to burst open.

“Can you finish mine then?” Lorelei asked. “I really tried to finish it all, but it was too much for me.” She pushed the remaining two-thirds of her shwaffle over to Sable.

“No I- *gulp* let’s just save it for later.” Sable stifled another burp. Her guts were really churning now trying to digest the largest meal they’ve ever dealt with. She was starting to feel a bit sick.

“No way. I told you shwaffles can’t be reheated,” Cherri said, bringing the plate towards herself. “Here I’ll make it easier for you.” She began cutting up the food into large bites. Sable eyed the final shwaffle with a mix of disgust and fear. There was no way that the towering monstrosity was going to fit into her overtaxed stomach. She was either going to blow up or blow chunks if she ate any more.

“Open wide,” Cherri said, holding out a forkful of shwaffle dripping in cream and chocolate.

“I can’t I’m to fu- *gloark*.” Sable tried to protest, but was interrupted by the food being shoved into her mouth. She chewed slowly, small moans escaping her lips as the sensation in her belly grew. She gulped down the large chunk of shwaffle. “No more pl- *glorp*.” She was unable to finish her plea as another bite was forced into her mouth.

“You can do it. Just a few more bites,” Cherri smiled as she loaded up the fork again.

“You’re really helping me out,” Lorelei rubbed her own belly. It was nowhere near comparable to Sable's, but the large meal left her with a little paunch. “You’re the freshest, Sabes.”

Sable blushed again at the nickname. Lorelei’s words reinvigorated her as she would do anything for her teammates. Especially Lorelei. Sable swallowed the second bite and opened her mouth for a third.

“See? This is easy,” Cherri smiled, putting another bite of shwaffle into Sable's waiting mouth. “Only a few bites left to go.” There were many digestion sounds coming from Sable's orb of a gut, some of them worrying, but Cherri kept smiling like she couldn’t hear them. She just loaded up the fork for another round of food. Sable belched again with her mouth full then swallowed. “Let’s finish this up right,” Cherri said as she loaded up the fork with the last three bites of shwaffle and scraped all the chocolate and cream onto it from the plate.

Sable gulped as the fork was brought closer. How was she going to add all that food to her complaining stomach. Her meal felt like it was trying to force it’s way back up her throat. She opened her mouth a little, but it was forced open wide by the huge amount of food on the fork. Her mouth was so full she could barely chew. It took her a solid minute, but she finally got the last of the mouthful softened up. Her cheeks bulged as she mentally prepared herself for what was next.

“That’s it. That’s the last bite. All you have to do is swallow and you’ll be all done.” Cherri grinned at Sable. Lorelei gave Sable the slightest apologetic look.

“You’ve got this.”

With Lorelei’s encouragement, Sable gave the biggest swallow she could muster. All the food in her mouth was pulled down at once. Her neck bulged as the last of her third shwaffle travelled down into her packed stomach. Sable’s eyes went a little cross as she fell back and grabbed both sides of her belly. The feeling of fullness was greater than any she had felt before. Her gut groaned and almost creaked with how absolutely full she was.

“You did it!” Cherri congratulated her friend.

“Wow are you going to be ok?” Lorelei asked worryingly. She glanced at Sable’s face which was mixed with pain and bliss, but she couldn’t keep her eyes off of the gut that was peeking up over the edge of the table. Her friend was stuffed to the gills.

“Ohhh…” Sable moaned. “Too m-much *urp*. I feel like… ow… like I’m gonna… gonna… splat…” She massaged her belly all over to try to relieve the fullness, but she was afraid to put too much pressure on it.

“I think we can call it a day. Let’s go hang out at my place. You can rest up Sable.” Lorelei looked at her friend. Sable looked fit to burst, and she felt kind of bad for making her eat all that food. At the same time, that large belly on such a cute octoling made her feel tingly. “Cherri, help me get Sable up.”

Together they lifted Sable out of the chair. Her gut complained loudly and she released a small flurry of burps, but she remained intact. They helped Sable down a nearby alleyway and into Lorelei’s apartment. Carefully they lowered her into Lorelei’s bed and covered her up. Sable’s stomach looked like she was hiding a beach ball under the covers. It gurgled loudly as Sable drifted off to sleep. All that eating had tired her out. As Cherri left to the living room to watch some TV, Lorelei gave Sable’s gut the lightest of rubs and kissed her forehead. “Sleep tight, Sabes. You earned it.” She left the octoling to rest up for tomorrow’s turf wars, but secretly hoped it wouldn’t be the last time she would see Sable glut herself.
