For nearly a half a century since the birth of the Third Reich it has maintain a strong grip on both the Germanian people and Europia with both the SS and the Gestapo monitoring the people even certain levels of the government to prevent disloyalty in a world of different ideologies surrounding the Reich. With a vast control of all of Europia and northern Afrikia it took 25-years for the Reich to root out insurgent groups all over and even indoctrinating the people to convert them to the Germanian ideology. And the Fuhrer gave a New Year's speech to her people about the new projects that she would initiate to make the Reich even greater. But even with such great control the Reich still struggles.
At the start of the new decade of 2020 new struggles began in the Reich, such as in southern Russikia when Chechen insurgents launched attacks against Germanian checkpoints, military bases, and even government buildings. Many civilians were killed and wounded in these attacks which ended up having negative backlash on the insurgents, but inspiring other regions in the former west Russika to rebel in small movements causing more deployments of the Wehrmacht and SS to respond in such a scale that has never occurred since the 1950s and military rule taking over regional governments. With new military technology and training is the new Germanian military the old methods of crushing rebellions still are effective as extreme interrogation and executions is still the way, but the days when the oppressed people would give up and submit are much more different as today the world is connected and people can easily send videos and photos with just a smartphone as such information is shown on foreign news networks in other countries, majority in Equestria, and many western leaders speak with great concern over the Reichs cruel methods on the civilians, even when they accidently arrest or kill foreign citizens that anger them as well.
Many believe or use to believe that the 2020s would be a great decade of prosperity, but when a soldier of the Wehrmacht looks at the Reich's flag with rips and holes on it realizing the symbolic meaning that cracks are now beginning to show and the Reich entering a difficult decade that they would have to resort to drastic methods in order to ensure that the Thousand-Year Reich lives on.
