Finally finished! This is my picture for the 2012 #Anthro-Fantasy-club winter art exchange. I got to paint =little-owlette 's AWESOME barn owl character, River. Man, I love painting owls so, so very much. <3Little-Owlette had a bunch of different ideas for the background. One of the things she suggested was a cozy room. I'm still trying to practice interior scenes, so I knew that was the best idea for this picture. It also gave me a chance to play around with warm afternoon colors - what's not to love?
Anyway, I'm sorry I went over time by a few days. I tried to get it in on time, I really did, but it simply wasn't finished a few days ago. Oh well. At least I got it done during the 7-day leniency period.

Even though it's done, I just can't shake the feeling that I could have taken if further, you know? More contrast, more vibrant colors, more... something. Damn my inexperience. XD

Oh man, I wish I had posted more WIPs on tumblr but... I kept forgetting about it. Oops. I don't know if a lot of people really look at my WIPs, but I like to have them around just to see how a picture came together. Maybe I could pick up ways on how to speed up the process later on. Who knows?
