My entry for the Gate of Truth contest for the DA-Ranger's :3

I looked at the other entries and I wish that they had explained why they chose they layout they did, and what the Gate means to them. So I will do that lol!

The Gate of Truth signifies, to me, a sort of guardian. It helps keep humans in line in a strict manner, yet it is up to the person as to whether or not you allow your punishment to teach you a lesson. For Ed, he allowed it to teach him, and he learned from his mistakes and fought to right it.
The pictures in the memory reel are in order of influences from right to left. Homunculus influenced Hohenheim to leave his family in order to find a way to die with them. Hohenheim influenced Trisha to bear his son's and wait for him, inadvertently leading to her death. Her death influenced the brothers to try and bring her back, resulting in Al having the largest sacrifice of losing his whole body. Edward pictured below is holding a small fragment of a Philosopher's Stone, which can only be achieved through the sacrifice of many human lives. The brother's sacrificed time and effort into searching for such a damned object, not realizing that the means to right their wrongs was to give up the cause of it all in the first place: Alchemy.
