I'm going through a serious Rayman phase right now. XD I bought Rayman Origins about a month ago, and I absolutely loved it! It's an incredible game, very unique.
Now I can't wait for Rayman Legends! I'm so happy to see them making Rayman games again. 8D I've almost forgotten about Rayman. I guess it's been so long since they made a Rayman game that wasn't a spin off (not to say that I dislike the Rabbid games, I personally find the Rabbids hilarious XD).
I'd love to draw more fan art! Rayman characters are very fun to draw.
*Edit: I finally got around to fixing his hand. XD I hope it looks a little less flat. Thank you for your critiques. ^^*

I love the new Rayman 2d games. I will always find though Rayman 1 and 2 to be their best work with him. 3 was cool too, but lost the magic Michel Ancel brought to us on 1 and 2.Β
Which reminds me, wouldnt Shantae make a good partner with him?

Oh my god i also forgotten about rayman too! Ive also been thinking about redoing raymans pose on the cover of Hoodlum havoc but kinda fix the color scheme lighting...basically the whole kitchen sink...

and I can agree *nods* one night I saw my 18 year old brother playing rayman I wanted to try it out and turns out I love the game ,I didn't at first but now I just love it,it's funny random and a challenging one too it may not look like it is but it is

Not gonna lie, when I saw the thumbnail I thought this was a 3D render. xD;
Nice work! Love the backlighting with the blue. I guess the only thing I'm not sure about is (since it looks like you're going for a CGI-esque feel) that the shadow of his torso isn't reflecting its color? (forgive me for not knowing the proper term; I just know some objects reflect their hue onto the surface they're on. I'm not an expert on that though, so I could be wrong).
Otherwise, this is exectuted wonderfully!

No, you're right, I think adding that reflective light would make it look better. I'm not entirely sure what the proper term is myself, but I know what you mean. ^^
I'm not entirely sure if I will edit it or not, but I'll certainly keep it in mind for my future work. ^^
