When I brought my chickens down to the kittens the mom just looked at them, but never tried to hurt them.I bet she was just confused whether they where hers or not, lol!
Pinky (the white one) seem to be disappointed that her mom can't see them apart

I think it's a wonderful shot that shows how tender a real queen can be with her babies - I am pretty sure harming the chick is the farthest thought from this young mother's mind. She looks like she wants to herd them in and keep them warm. What happened after the shot? Anything interesting?

i think it was quite dangerous to put the chicks near the mum,she may hurt them before you can do anything!
but on the other hand,you should put them next to kitties to learn living peaceful with them and not view them as prey in the future

I was never out of reach. Cats rarely kill quickly, they play with their pray, so it wasn't all that dangerous.
She never laid a paw on them either =^_^=
Cats get so easily confused when they have babies, and adopt any and all other creatures
