Description
I was recently asked to photograph an area of protected land for a magazine article. Of course, this is about the worst time of year to photograph land in Iowa. I took about 800 shots over 3 days, and this one is my favorite. 12 combined images - 2 vertical frames of 2 stacked and bracketed HDRs. The best part about this photo is that my sponsors (Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation) will make sure it stays this way.Related content

I won't pretend to understand how this was created.. it sounds very labour intensive and complicated. Wonderful shot, Nathan!

Haha thanks Susan! Since I only pretend to understand it myself, I couldn't explain it anyway.

Thanks Erin! If they don't like my photos, I will tell them I don't mind because all the people important to me say otherwise!

Thank you. For me the hardest part of HDR is making it not look like HDR. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
