12 vertical HDR's combined. I stood on the riverbank for about an hour, waiting for that cloud to block the sun. I almost never wait around for a shot; but I didn't want to go back to my hotel room. Western Iowa is kind of sprawled out along a huge flat spot between the Missouri River and the Loess Hills. Not much to do on that giant pancake unless you want to drive for an hour.Related content

Thank you for the prayers and sending good energy but I'm afraid you need to pray even a little more. 
And the weather has been and still is sooooo.... bad. Rain, rain and more rain!!! And too cold and dark for the time of the year. We had no spring and no summer at all! It's been a mild wet and dark winter and at the moment it feels more like autumn. Strong winds and thunderstroms almost every day, it's not normal! Everyone is complaining about it. My husband is going to be at home for 3 weeks so we hope the weather will be a bit better soon so we can go for a little drive if I feel up to it. And or little Lex is very sick also, but that's a long story.
Sorry I don't have more positive things to tell you.

I'm sad to learn this, but I am also grateful that you told me. And of course I will pray more! For you and Lex and your husband all together. I know that every examination brings hope of an answer, but when it hurts I am sure that hope seems like a stupid wish that will never come true. You know, Sonja, I am glad that you are only missing the bad weather right now. Maybe when the weather turns nice, you will be feeling better as well. It would be a shame if you had bad weather on a good day, right?
