Description
(For lack of a better title)18"x24", acrylic paint on canvas. Done somewhat from observation (I wish I had my own plastic skeleton to tote around with me like a child with her teddy bear). A concentration piece for my AP drawing and portfolio class.
Forgive me for the bad picture. The flash looks crappy, but no flash was even worse.

Seriously, I'm just "Ohgodlookatthatcurve<3". I have this thing about spines and ribcages and the way they curve and this is really a beautiful piece of work. The colours are radical!

As far as AP goes, they love to see experimentation in media and perspective, which is basically what the breadth section is for. Make sure to put in gesture/contour drawings, studies, that sort of thing. Use drawing media that you wouldn't automatically think to use.
For your concentration, you can really do anything, but you've got to be able to talk about it for a couple paragraphs when the time comes to turn in your portfolio, so make sure to pick something that you care about and can think of several ideas for. The important thing really is that you connect the twelve pieces somehow, whether through style, media, or subject matter and you can justify the way you depicted things. But there's always time to change your concentration around and experiment first semester.
The quality section is five pieces which you have to send in in physical form (the rest are slides), so there's a size limitation which includes the mat. You can include some of the pieces in the other two sections in quality, but just for the sake of having a wide variety of work, you probably should only do that with one or two of the five.

I was thinkin for my concentration i would do something on American
conspiracies and teenage expression// on the contemporary side
like with drugs, sex, media, appeal.
i donno if that will be to hard.

It shouldn't be too hard as long as you fully understand what you're trying to get across. Use symbolism to your advantage, or if you decide to portray these things literally, do it in a consistent way. Repeat symbols, etc.
