Also, as much as you'd think enchanted weapons would be commonly used in this world, they actually aren't! Due to a kind of "culture divide" and just the way magic IS for Merrymen (intense, slippery, and hard to master), it's really weird for one person to be both trained in using magic AND in weapon-combat. Enchanted weapons DO exist but if they're used, it'll tend to be more as spellcasting items rather than as weapons, and people trained to actually use weapons AS weapons kind of, want nothing to do with the enchanted variety. "Those things are nothing but trouble!" they'll cry, because... well, they tend to have little to no magical training, and the enchanted aspect gets on top of them SUPER-easily! x'D

So yeah, Aurin's idea here is actually pretty unorthodox. :'D
