Description
Here's the reference sheets of Coal's two friends; I grouped them together like I said.
On a similar note... if you see obscure names in these refs that don't yet have faces known to you (for instance the name 'Smoke' in Char's ref), rest assured, these characters will come up eventually.

I was literally just about to ask you who Smoke was. Then I read the description.
School huh? What do they learn in dragon school? Things like flying/hunting/fighting, with a touch of maybe, history? Science? Do they even read and write at all? The dragons in the Wings of Fire books do. Their books are called "scrolls". You'd probably enjoy Wings of Fire, I recommend it. It's by Tui Sutherland. The only other book called Wings of Fire is something about pilots in a war, not as cool as books about dragons of course, so I haven't read it. It just showed up in the library card catalog website when I was looking for the other, better Wings of Fire.

Neat, two for the price of one. I like your idea to make a double ref, it makes a lot of sense for related charas. They're really cute and you did a very good job with their personalities.

Yeah, I'll probably do this with Swelter and Seethe too, since they're a 'group'... and anyone else who is so grouped. Anyway. thank you!

Like how you give the characters different facial features!

Thanks! But why wouldn't one give them different facial features? They're different people after all!

Wait, Spark is a girl? I honestly couldn't really tell. I thought they were all boys.

Yes, she's a girl. I don't blame you for not being able to tell; these dragons have very little sexual dimorphism, if any at all.

So how do they tell their genders apart?

...Voice? Smell? Hormones? I dunno, how do ANY non-sexually-dimorphic species tell each other apart?
They do exist in our world too you know, and they must distinguish each other SOMEhow.

CHUBBY BABY
haha sorry, I couldn't resist. These two are adorable! I love how well you draw dragons. I'll never get over it, honestly.
