Anyway! Here's some ref/design-template images of Tinder, Coal, and their parental units (been a while since I put any of these up here)! Their parents are Cinder (dad, pink) and Blaze (mom, brown). I'd been meaning to do their templates for AGES and I finally got around to it! 
I feel like the scaling might be a little off in this image (either that or Cinder and Blaze are both on the small side for adults), but oh well. Size wasn't really the point this time
...Also. I know Tinder might still kind of look like "The Pink Girl"(tm) of the story... but plot twist, her father is even pinker than she is! Lookit that big stick o' bubblegum back there! x'D
Anyway, enjoy this tidbit, I guess.

It's funny you should say he's big, because as I said in the description I felt that maybe I scaled the adults just a bit too small in this image.

Wow, a pink male! Pink isn't normally a color for males! Dragons on Merrytune probably don't have the same color associations as we do though. Fun fact: Fire Emblem characters can have bright rainbow hair colors, or like any color you can think of. There are a lot of females with pink hair, but only one male, so I headcanoned it being like calico cats, pink haired males are rare and sterile. Said male is also not the best father material though, so maybe it's for the best xD

I don't think nature agrees with you; if it did there couldn't be flamingos, or axolotls, or pink fairy armadillos, or shrimp. I guarantee you those species have males, haha. ^_^ Interesting connection to calico cats though.
(Edit: I also have a fun fact for you! In earlier times, pink actually WAS a color for baby boys, and blue for baby girls... it was because red was seen as a very masculine color, and pink is just a paler shade of red. 
Blaze's necklace was sort of a last minute addition... I liked it afterward though so I thought I might give some of the others grass-raffia bangles too... at least maybe a bracelet for Cinder.

Oh yeah, that's true! A lot of real animals can have pink males! I remember hearing about how pink used to be for baby boys as well. I heard it got changed somewhere down the line to fit a story small children used to be told when they asked where babies came from. Baby boys were found under blue cabbage leaves and baby girls were found in the pink petals of a rose.
By human standards though, pink is usually a girly color, but I assure you Mister Bubblegum rocks it himself.

"Real men wear pink" reminds me of once the local rodeo cowboys all wore pink to the rodeo event to support breast cancer research. Was a few years ago now.
