Uhhh Ryden kind of adopted Evinrude and taught them to fight, he also acquired something that allowed Evin to breathe FIRE LIKE A BADASS
Reason being that Evin is permasmall if that makes sense. Evin is kind of uhhh stunted. They weren't given the appropriate nutients in their youth so now they're smol and weak. Their horns and bones are also rather soft, hence why they don't generally fight and why they have a chip in their horn.. and why Ryden has to take care of them
