You need an apostrophe in "its".

I like the phrasing and how you've set the scene at the beginning, and then went deeper in the second part, making it easier for us to relate and engage with the piece as well...

It's pretty profound where the atmosphere and emotions are concerned. I like the separation and how that could reflect your own separation with the world.
