THIS PIC IS NOT MINE!!It was taken by a woman named Elena Filatova. A couple of years ago, she toured the Chernobyl surroundings on her bike. She made pictures of Ghost Town, old deserted buildings and other things that were caused by the Chernobyl disaster.
Her log of the tour is as frightening as it is informative.

It's a testimony of the horrible things that happened, a truly frightening collage. I can't even begin to wonder what happened to the owner of this bunny rabbit, and i don't want to. People, do NOT let this happen again.

To the owner of the bunny most likely never happened, when the explosion occured people in the city haven't even noticed it, and the city was completely evacuated in an record 5-6 days. The immediate deaths were ~60 people (who were killed instantly at that night) ~9000 killed with time (cancer, complications)

Iยดm interested in Hiroshima& Nagaski (-> the two atomic bombs), and..... yeah... So, of course, I'm interested in Chernobyl, too.

my school hosted chernobyl children and apparently if they come over to a non nuclear environment for a week then they can expand their life time by years. I helped to cater when they came over and they were such a lively bunch ^_^
