Although its people are unquestionably friendly, the planet of Athanoi has a strong contrast to its inhabitants. Its forests, in particular, are ranked some of the most deadly within the entire Orion Spur Alliance. Nearly all of their plantlife is pitch black, not that you could easily see that; sunlight is weak even at high noon on Athanoi due to its orange dwarf sun. Their forests maintain a perpetual twilight or even permanent darkness in their deepest recesses, lit only by the glow of sparse bio-luminescent flora and fungi. It's very easy to get lost in one, trip and fall over the underbrush, or even simply walk straight over a cliff. And the forest itself isn't enough, then you'd better be careful of the sorts of creatures that live inside it.
