Click here to see the speed drawing!I actually really liked how this turned out?? I used around half the time I usually spend on making finished paintings, but it still worked out nicely. I'm not used to NOT spending half a day on these things. But can we just take a moment to talk about Blue Diamond? Cause she is my favorite space goddess at the moment. Seriously, I just wana give her a hug and say everything's gonna be alright. I know she's supposed to be a tyrant ruler with the other diamonds and all, but she deserves a little love <3

This piece is well, extremely pretty. The painting technique is near perfect, the hair has a life-like feel to it and "falls" correctly, and the character appears to be very elegant in nature, fragile to some extent.. With this in mind, evidently the emotion is displayed quite well, kudos!Β
When it comes to what you could tweak, I'd focus on the background. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but the character blends in with the background, there's not much of a contrast, and the foreground Β gets lost within the background. Uping the contrast here or creating more dramatic lighting would probably add more of a "pop" to the piece.Β
Her eyes are very expressive and compliment the face well, although in contrast to the nose and mouth- they seem a little flat. Think of the eye as a sphere and try to recreate the "3D" feel or curvature of the eye. This may help visualise

The clothing seems to bare a very similar texture to that of the skin, perhaps a clearer distinction would allow for a more solid distinction between the two, although seeming as it is not the focus of the piece- it's not exactly too much of an issue.Β
But overall, the piece is quite excellent, I had to get a bit nitpicky! Anyway, I hope this was at least somewhat helpful to you.Β

This is a beautiful piece. I love the wispiness of her hair, and her face looks beautiful. The colors are all nice and soft, and everything looks so light and gentle. I know that probably sounded really weird but it's how I feel about ^^

this is a very lovely art piece, the shading and shines are well done. i love the hair and how it looks like there is tons of different strands flowing together. the expression is quite well done and over all this piece is wonderfully done.
