I can’t tell if you’re serious with that question, but I love answering questions so here goes! Getting hit with a snowball is like getting hit by a softball or baseball, if those things broke apart on impact. Snowballs have some smush to them, so it doesn’t hurt unless someone’s being a prick.
(edit: also you’re usually wearing a bunch of layers that soften the blow)

It doesn't really ever snow where I live. Though this last year it did but it wasn't at all near enough to make snowballs, so... i've never experienced this.
I always imagined throwing snowballs to be like... throwing little balls of flour but then I realized that its like... harder and colder and probably more painful. I think i'd rather just throw flour.

To be honest, I haven't participated in many snowball fights, I always preferred making snowmen.
Sometimes snow can be like flour, but when it's like that it's no good for snowballs. You want it to be partially melted so it can stick together, but at that point it's a little heavier. Not hard, just....heavy. You can throw the flour-snow and make a pretty cloud, though. I think I prefer throwing snow because it melts away, unlike flour which you have to wash out, lol
(also dealing with snow barehanded is No Fun, in that respect it's very much like handling ice)
