Description
From the new RS episode "take the cake".1953 world's fair.
For the first time, they showed pops in the 1950's. They also showed the 1950's for the first time in there, unless they show skips in the 1950s, let's all assume that he was at home, building his fallout shelter just like everyone else.

pops here would still be around 47 or so seeing as he was around 4 years old in 1910. i have yet to see this episode yet however cool find! i look forward to it!

i hope they have a Pop's flashbacl episode.
Though i feel sorry for Pops because it looks like modern society in regular show is very cruel on a old lollipop man who is just being practicing the old traditions.
I don't know why modern people in regular show show extreme prejudice on old and vintage stuff?

yeah it makes me angry too, just of how pops is adapting his ways. heck the regular show crew excluding skips and of course pops/maellard, seem to even have a grudge on things at the 80's or before for some reason. Also did you recall in the episode take the cake of where pops said mr. maellard was in the war. i wonder which war since he was probably a young man 18-27 years old in skips vs technology in 1879 or the 1870s?

what i really mean is that the youngsters of modern society(The rappers from "rap it up" and "catching the wave") seem to look down at pops and see his ways as "uncool", because in the regular show universe and possibly modern American society, old school is "uncool" and new school is "cool". Even Margaret Eileen some people in the parking lot in "cruisin" either dissed Pop's car or simply ignored it.
looks like J.G. Quintel has a liking for our crap modern "Junk culture".
What do the creators of this show have against old time tradition?
and the odd thing about the 19th century as seen in "Skip's Story" EVERYONE in at that time spoke in either a British or Shakespearean accent. I suppose cowboys spoke in the same manner during that time.
as for the war it could be both world wars since he might have enlisted into the British side as always.

It can even go so far to claiming that all of human history is fake.

alright understood, however since we are on the topic of kids ways and of regular show, in historical context i would like to know a few things. First what regular show modern/ kids rapping or old hating moments do you dislike, and what would you like to see (in historical context or the past) be shown in future regular show episodes regarding either skips or pops or even their ancestors to be shown? can be from prehistoric to modern. i would like to know you're preferance seeing as you are also fond of the regular show crew's involvement in the titanic which is a great idea after all.

My preferences are that i would like to see the regular show getting involved with Important, famous, and key moments in Human history. titanic is one of them.
What i absolutely hated was a scene where some surfers compared Pops to a lollipop buoy and scene where some rappers dissed Pop's poetry.
What I would like to see in the future, is episode concerning Pop's and Skip's and the ancestors of the workers involvement in the two world wars. Also skips warn mordecai and rigby that the events that he experienced might not happened to them but they still need to be prepared.
i mean after watching "skip's story", I imagined this, what if the events that skips told repeated on Mordecai (Either Margaret or CJ die under the hands of Klorgbane the destroyer in the same way he killed Mona, Skip's lover .)?

that's really cool by the way. i like how you analyze all the episodes and plots, it gives a good outlook on some great episode potential. especially for the park workers ancestors that would really work out well i believe. though i have been working hard on some issues i am not sure many regular show fans are aware of. skips and his continuity. I'm sorry for this but i did not like a skips in time as much as you would think. mind you i loved the history of skips in the 1700's. the one thing i did not like was skips being a teenager, and immature, it didn't add up with skips's involvement in the revolutionary war in 1783. the exact same year hot air balloon mechanics were invented and yet he appeared buff and old in skips vs technology and young in a skips in time. plus skips's bald spot a sign of old age was shown on him to be 400 years old. showing that by at least 1600 skips was getting old. i know i'm rambling on but i have even dedicated a literature piece in my gallery for skips and maellard. but i would like skips to be a mentor and guide for the park worker's ancestors through time and his origins since they are shrouded in mystery, be from the frozen wastes of a long time ago (ice age possibly?) anywho thats what bothers me. i know its just a show, but i would respect it if j.g quintel spent a little less time on the 80's and more time concering the farther away past. but that's just me my friend.

good point, since i view the 80's the decade in which humanity began to culturally and socially degrade.

to continue on i would agree. the 80's are too much like today with albeit a little less technology. here are some of my inputs on historical events that should be shown: last ice age, ancient egypt, greece, rome, medieval europe, medieval japan, reniassance europe, colonial europe and america, industrial america and europe, 1910's ww1, 1920's, great depression/1930's, ww2, the 50's boom, the 60's and 70's, vietnam. i mean look at all the material to work with in a show that has a character who is immortal and shrouded in mystery. why waste potential?

they can do that but it might make the fans impatient plus, i don't thin they have the resources
but still i think there should be some more accurate history oriented episode.

Crazy times, I wonder how many people actually did have fallout shelters. I know they use to do those Duck and Cover drills. Seriously, how much is ducking and covering going to do against a nuclear explosion? xD
On a different note 1950's Pops looks pretty much the same to 1980's Pops, guess lolliemen must age really slowly. O3o

they have prolonged lifespans that's why.
also i guess that the present day characters and people would take all this duck and cover and fallout shelter stuff as nonsense (they are all confident that there will NEVER be a nuclear war). In my Nuclear story arc, an actual but accidental strike occurs and everyone except the park workers are caught at dead aim.

I can imagine they would be, who'd ever think something like that could happen? Though I have seen this youtube video that counts down how many times in the past a nuclear strike was almost launch. Whether as a result of faulty instruments or human error, it's chilling to think how close we came on several occasion to an all out nuclear war.

well for my Rs sory arc, it was an accident plus ww3 didn't happen fortunately.

LOL if any of those two scenarios could be described a "fortunate". But yeah, at least there was no blind, panic driven retaliation.

basically the guy who accidentally launch the nukes didn't hide and was responsible enough to admit that he did it by accident. he was fired from his job and all foreign relations stabilized.

Wow, no offense but he got off lightly if he was just fired from his job. I mean, that's kind of a big mistake to make. xD
But yeah, good thing about the foreign relations. Then maybe the major powers could band together and help the area affected.
