All this talk about Derpy being offensive is just terrible, I went to the website savederpy.com, and saw there was a Twitter Hash-tag that would let you join the conversation. It's a pretty big deal about Derpy, in case y'all haven't noticed. After they remade a small section of the episode "The Last Roundup", and changed the awesome scene with Derpy talking in it, it just shattered my heart. I know it was a while back, but I didn't actually see the remade episode until about a month ago (Because I just got into the Fandom back in October, and watched all the episodes on YouTube), and it's really upset a lot of fans, including myself. So, just to show the world that you support the Original Derpy Hooves, not the new one that has her eyes uncrossed, and voice changed (Also, Rainbow Dash doesn't address her as Derpy), make this your Facebook Timeline Cover. Well, you don't have to, it's just an idea. I just wanted to make something that would show people that you support Derpy, or something along those lines, I hope you get what I mean. No one can save Derpy, it was the fans who made her who she is. One might think that Hasbro would learn from its own episodes and not give the fans exactly what the want. Derpy is a joke, not because of who she is or her character design or the fact that her eyes are crossed, but because of the fans latching on to her misgivings. Why not the caring mother instead of the loveable cross eyed doofus who cant quite get it together?

I read on savederpy.com that an Email was received to one of the fans, regarding the issue. Saying something about the screen writer getting tons of Emails for praise because of Derpy, and only 10 fussing. She said in the Email that those 10 Emails really hurt her, but she also had a mental relative (May have been her Son), and Derpy didn't offend her at all. Derpy wasn't meant to make fun of anyone. I see lots of Stamps on DA, and the best one I've seen says something about Derpy not being offensive to Mental People, but she teaches that when we fall, we should get back up, smile, and try again. And it's true, ya know? Really, it just shows how much damage a few people can do to an entire fandom.

I can appreciate your sentiment, really I do. However, I would probably not use the title "mental people" I would find that more offensive than Derpy. In all of this, if you can take away the lesson to smile and get back up from Ms. Derpy Hooves then that is awesome. It will always be a few people who cause the most trouble no matter how vocal the majority is. However, I still stand by my point that the show should not give the fans what they want because in the end it will turn out bad.

It's not the fans' fault, it's 'Political Correctness' is the main problem. They always complain about every little thing and turned into something very negative. These 'Political Correctness Soccer Moms' need to learn to chill out and shut up about everything. That's my theory..

The issue was "resolved" as much as I hate that the episode was censored, there's nothing that will be done to fix it. Derpy will always be best pony, but for now I'd just be happy to see her in more episodes, some of season 3 has been lacking.

she's in the crowd watching the jousting tournament in the premere, she's in the crowd complaining in Too Many Pinkie Pies and she's on both sides of the stands during Twilight's show in Magic Duel.

Not to add fuel to this fire but rumor and season 3 evidence point to us possibly never seeing her again. Notice it wasn't Derpy who brought RD's academy acceptance letter in Wonderbolt Academy? This bugs me so much because Derpy was loved. She was not the punchline to some joke, she was a cherished member of the FiM community. I honestly think people only complained at all just for the chance to knock bronies and pegasisters down a peg! Conniving oversensitive rat buttheads should be more productive with their time and watch paint dry.

I totally agree, but I have to say this although you already said it.
Really, it's just people who are probably haters because guys like MLP, which ain't a big deal. I mean, if you go all nuts because someone doesn't like the same things you do, you need to just..I dunno, grow up. These haters who have nothing else to do but try to make the lives of Bronies heck. The thing is, we're not just a fandom, but a family

Personally...remove the "offensive" wall-eye and bring Derpy back everywhere! The day a blond joke is hurtful, is the day all blonds really should die. I know what I say means nothing at all, but Derpy will be missed dearly!

No that's the only thing about her that in my opinion can be offensive. I have no problem with them at all. If she's offensive simply because she is a klutz then well my faith in humanity just fizzled completely. I thought it was the wall-eye...What about Derpy is considered "offensive"?
