I have to admit, I'm addicted to Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. It's an amazing game with an amazing story (and I'm not even through the first character yet).The Keyblade depicted is the enhanced form of Terra's Earth Shaker, known as Ends Of The Earth. It takes this form after the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony (hence the title) with a certain young boy (trying not to spoil it). It was much harder to draw than I expected.
The text is actually what he says to the boy as the 'ceremony' is taking place.
The background is comprised of a few instances of Master Eraqus's symbol and some basic vector pinstriping for texture.
Main art done in Illustrator, additional effects in Photoshop.

Curious, is that what you're really suppose to say when doing the ceremony ? Or is it just something Terra made up ?

I haven't played Birth By Sleep, as I do not have a PSP, but I wish I could, I would love to go ahead an know that backstory, but I have a feeling that it will be explained, at least to an extent, in either Dream Drop Distance, or the next not-filler game.

If you have a PS3 and you get KH 2.5, you'll be able to play BBS. It will be Final Mix so it will be a little different but it's still BBS.
And to the artist, I love this! I haven't reached this in BBS yet but I can't wait until I do. Thanks for giving me a way to memorize what he said. I might do something like this for my FFVII:CC Cosplay. My friend likes to go as Terra, and I might have him take Genesis' sword Rapier, and use it as a Keyblade and "bestow" it upon me as Genesis' Keyblade. And now that I know/can remember what to say, it should be fun. We usually cosplay a scene on the front porch of my house every year. Last year we did a Reno/Yazoo fight. Like the one from FFVII: Advent Children. Of course not as violent. We have a huge porch and it's easy to climb up and down between the three levels if you swing yourself just right, even if you have a weapon in your hands. We're both really good at martial arts too. And with all the lights we have it'll be easy to focus on us on the middle deck and turn on a microphone to let everyone hear us, not doing it constantly but every-so-often.... Uh-oh, sorry, I rambled...

Dunno why but i feel that the Ends of the Earth Keyblade is one of the most imponent looking keyblades, even more imponent than Xehanort's Keyblade
This one looks titanic, even more when you see Armor Terra wielding it (specially on KH2 FM)

That is the cutest scene! >.< I'm addicted too. It was so hard to put it down while studying for exams. I finished Terra's story first - go figure, he's AWESOME! - and now I'm on to Ventus'. I found myself quite offended when my best friend laughed when Terra says that little poem in one of the flashbacks (you'll see what I mean you you haven't already). I thought it was adorable and endearing that Terra would say something like that!

That's the kind of thing that proves that although he has darkness in his heart, he is still a good person. I think he should come back in KH 3 after getting his body back from the defeat of Xemnas or something *wishful thinking*.

yes yes yes yes!!!! Oh how I love Terra! >.< I have never cried so much playing a game as I did towards the end of Terra's story. I was practically chanting "Don't do it Terra, don't do it, DON'T DO IT GODDAMMIT TERRA!"
I totally saw what happened coming a mile away. It was /so/ freakin' painful to watch... Poor guy. Keeps screwing everything up... He reminds me so much of Cloud... but looks like Zack... and talks like Leon... lol He's a combination of my favourite KH/FF characters.

Who doesn't wish for such a thing? Even though the possesion of a keyblade obligates you to go out to unknown worlds on difficult quests, i would not hesitate to accept it.
