2009,2011.The first one was left at very early stage but still i'd like to believe the development/improvement is visible. Not as much as i would have wanted but at least i have another medium under my belt now.
I'm enjoying watercolours very much (the first one was meant to be done solely with coloured pencils) and i'm now looking forward to trying oils..seeing the results of this meme can be quite motivational. Blank meme made by *Bampire [link]

The two styles are different. so I can't say I like one more than the other, but they both look wonderful to me!

Both drawings are of course amazing, but OMG you have improved so so very much!

Composition wise I lean towards liking the first one - it's "broader" and shows more motion, the pose displays the character better. However, in style and skill I much prefer the new one - far more nuance and detail, more realism. I really admire artists like you who can do such fine work in watercolour.

While the second is very nicely done, I personally prefer the first. It has more movement, more vitality, and shows her more... godlike?...than the newer, which makes her look rather more like the usual depiction of her statues, rather than in a 'battle-like' pose.

You know....I like them both. A lot. But in different ways. I suppose you never really finished the first one though, right? The watercolors in the 2011 one are very crisp and clean and well....actually...so is the colored pencil one.

Just people's style choices and opinions ^^ My style would say I like the before one better, too. But the after one is more realistic with more details and the owl looks better. ^-^ It doesn't necessarily mean that the after one has to be better... everyone assumes these things xD It's just Before. And After. That was how they drew then, and this is now

The older one is much more simplified and bolder, but I personally am leaning more towards the new one for its shading and detail. They're both excellent.

Everyone assumes that just because they like the old one better that there isn't an improvement lol xD It's people's STYLE CHOICE ^-^ that's all. And if the one on the right is what they were aiming for on the left, then it is an improvement for them :3

hm I think itΒ΄s made for improvement in drawing itself.
Really she can draw! bevore and after, and she can colour. The choise wich medium she likes better is for her sake. And the concept from 2009 was made with more creativity. I like both, they are both good for itself. but It shows no improvement. If she has a picture of the same theme with watercolours on the left side from 2009, it would be correct.
But in the end ItΒ΄s a nice meme. ItΒ΄s funny to draw old pictures again after some years. I think I will try this too.
