A while ago i did a very interesting commission for the lovely .She asked me to portray the seven days of the week in human form as seen through her eyes.The illustrations would be used for her talk on Synesthesia.

I had less than two weeks' time but with her inspiring descriptions of the personifications of the days and their personalities,their appearances formed in my mind almost immediately.
I got very involved with this project and it's definitelly one of my favourites to have worked on so far.

Here are the descriptions i was given (please read or it might not make any sense) :

SUNDAY: Sunday's color is a pale, chalky yellow. He's male, and relatively young, probably in his early 20's. He's tall and lanky with longish blonde hair that's always in his face and light blue eyes. He's a man of few words and always has a sort of half smile on his face and his hands in his pockets. He prefers to observe rather than socialize and tends to hover on the outside of things.

MONDAY: Monday's color is white. He is also male and in his mid 40's. He used to be full of life and happiness, but then his wife died. He's still good-natured and kind, but he is more hardened and bitter and reserved than he was when she was alive. He's of average height and has dark eyes that always have a sad look in them and black hair that is graying at the temples. He's a good-looking guy, but as said, his wife's death took a toll on him. [i imagine him] in a long brown trench-coat with the collar up like he's outside on a cold, windy day.

TUESDAY: Tuesday's color is blue. She is female and 8 years old. She has long light brown curly hair and blue eyes. She's carefree and likes to climb trees and fly kites and that sort of thing. She's definitely one of the simpler days.

WEDNESDAY: Wednesday's color is orange.She is female and 16 years old. She is slightly overweight and incredibly insecure about it, so she tries to make up for her insecurity by acting very narcistic and full of herself.She thinks that if people see that she likes herself, they'll like her too. She has red (orange) hair and brown eyes.

THURSDAY: Thursday's color is purple. She is female, 19 or 20 years old. She is very beautiful and very indifferent. She doesn't talk a lot, and doesn't really show much emotion either. She's really quite stoic. She has black hair and strange bluish-purple eyes. Her hair is short (above her shoulders) and kind of jagged and everywhere. She's tall and thin and lovely, but lacks a personality.

FRIDAY: Friday's color is red. He is male and 21 years old. He's tall with short auburn hair and dark eyes and one of those smiles that are just so beautiful. He is infatuated with Thursday because of her beauty, but her being the stoic person she is, she isn't interested. He's sort of a typical young guy and likes video games and cars and whatnot, but he really does have a charming personality.

SATURDAY: Saturday's color is green. She is female and 18 years old. She is kind of tall and quite thin and has big green eyes and straight dark brown hair that is a bit longer than shoulder length. She is pale and has a light dusting of freckles across her nose. She is quite in love with Friday and his lovely smile, so she consequently doesn't like Thursday with her indifference towards him and her supreme beauty. She is very clumsy and always has her nose in a book.
