Description Exiled

Airleas Aeducan is banished from her home of Orzammar and sentenced to exile for a crime she did not commit. Considered no longer a princess or even a dwarf to her home, she makes a new life as a grey warden after she is rescued from her fate in the Deep Roads.

Faced with the prospect of returning home to call for aide in the Blight, Airleas is uncertain of her future with her new companions and their quest to slay the Archdemon.

The party finally arrives in Denerim and stops by the inn before venturing into the town square... what will await them there?!?!?!?! D:

Whatever it is, they certainly won't be wearing their godforsaken armour... I'm sick of drawing it.

I was reading up on the DA dwarves when I first started playing and found it interesting that they are actually a slowly dwindling race. The race as a whole isn't very fertile and many dwarves have trouble having children. Interesting to note that dwarves have more trouble having children with other races (e.g. humans and elves) than with their own race and even more trouble if the dwarf or his/her mate is a Grey Warden. I was a little bummed to find that out since Airl's personality would be one to desire having children, but in all honesty it probably just wouldn't happen - no matter who she chose to have children with (coughAlistaircough).... so that's where the random conversation about dwarven children comes into play. It will become much more important later in the story in more ways then one though, so remember it!

And yes, I'm foreshadowing in this page for Airl to be reunited with a certain someone we all know and love.

Loving the comic so far, though I sometimes wish there were a line or something coming from the speech bubbles to tell me who's saying what.

Yeah i think I'm going to start doing that... at first I didn't think it would be a problem but I can see how it could be confusing sometimes. Thanks for the feedback!

The background in the sixth panel is a bit off, but otherwise, great job! Better then I could do, anyways. xP

I think I know who's going to be showing up soon. I didn't know that the dwarves are a slowly dwindling race. That's pretty interesting.

Can't wait to read more!

I only just touched upon your comic today, and so far I'm loving it! You really approach all the little issues that seemed to have been abandoned in the game, like how Alistair just blurts out his secret heritage and how everyone randomly knows your background already. I never did think about dwarf children; I remember the codex entry mentioning that the race was dwindling, but somehow every dwarf we got to meet had a kid.

And finally, Gorim in a comic!

Yeah I read it on the Dragon Age wiki I believe. I thought it was interesting so I thought I'd throw it in there.

Ooooooooh!... I think I know who this will be

Great job at adding this scene It would make sence for Alistair to also try to explore the history of Airleas! ^_^

*moan* I really wanted to say a lot of praise here but that page... awww, she's gonna meet Gorim so soon, my dear-dear Gorim. Although it is sad story even thingking of him makes my heart warm. And your drawing of him are awesome.
Damn, now I can't stop thinking about him...
Phew, hope now I can start praising)
Well...
First of all, I like how the plot goes. All that references to the past, and now Alistair is going to see Gorim and so on - that's cool! Drawings are very good too)
And I can't wait to see the next page)))

Aww, I like this so far! One of the most annoying things in DAO was party members not really caring about your past... it'll be interesting to see how Alistair reacts to the backstabbing vicious politics of Aeducan's past!

I agree! That was the reason why I started doing this in the first place... I hope I don't disappoint!
