Description
Pastiche to Pierre-Auguste Cot's Springtime . THIS IS MEANT TO BE A FUN IMITATION; DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.I've always fancied the poses in this particular painting. Man, the background was a pain to paint.
Valken and Xeigle belong to me. I've never been so fanciful of a character's parents. Zy probably thinks otherwise.
Colored in openCanvas over a pencil sketch, give or take six hours.
This is still really fun. I wanna do another one.

I'm not that much of a fan for lovey-dovey pictures but this is just...just true, that's the word that comes to mind. True love, true happiness
They look so content sitting there on one swing and just looking at them makes me feel somewhat light-headed... I love their pose, I really absolutely do! Valken's legs are in such a natural albeit possibly weird position (you don't see most pictures with a pose like that XD) that I can sense this scene actually happening in front of my eyes. I love Xei's clothing too. It looks so dream-like, the fabric of it I mean. Anything and everything about this picture just whispers(not screams as it is quite serene-looking) happiness and love in the wind.

Neither is my friend. But I like to balance things out with a couple happy pictures there, then a darker image here, and maybe something silly over there.

Well the pencil sketch is still visible there. Other than that the color is all digital.

Xei's legs looks rather small. The lightning/coloring on this one is lovely though

This is wonderful, I love this painting (in real life and here), so romaaatic o.O. You redid it fantastically, captured the swing movement, the postures and everything. I'm thoroughly impressed. Please do more!
