Pastiche to Pierre-Auguste Cot's Springtime . THIS IS MEANT TO BE A FUN IMITATION; DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.I've always fancied the poses in this particular painting. Man, the background was a pain to paint.
Valken and Xeigle belong to me. I've never been so fanciful of a character's parents. Zy probably thinks otherwise.
Colored in openCanvas over a pencil sketch, give or take six hours.
This is still really fun. I wanna do another one.

That is such a lovely painting. It seems all about friendship and love, it is gentle and tender, both in what it shows and in how it shows things....Those almost pale but warm colours, they have an eerie and natural feel to them which really makes this painting stand out.
I enjoy it a lot, you have created something wonderful here

God, I wanted to do something like this. But I still don't know Photoshop very well.

Neither do I. I use openCanvas mostly. And half of it was done in pencil and graphite, actually. The color was added after I scanned the drawing.

Wow, this picture is amazing. I love, love the position of the two, the way they're limbs and everything are in position give them a very realistic feeling. They look so calm and sweet together, so delicate and sentimental. I love the feel of this picture and everything. It's adorable. It is no surprise that this was chosen for a Daily Deviation.
