guess who loved a certain SU episode too much
p sure no one remembers, but i had a previous gem OC known as Hematite! She was a gem medic, meaning she would do her best to fix damaged gems or ones shattered in battle. In the meantime, though, forced gem fusion was one of her pastimes, making disgusting abominations out of fallen homeworld comrades that proved no use to anyone but her.
Her best (by best i mean most horrifying) is FrankenCluster, a mish-mash of fallen gems given new life in the form of being physically binded to one another non-consensually.
FrakenCluster, for the most part, clambers around desperately in her chamber trying to rip herself apart, much to Hematite’s dismay. When she’s not in tremendous pain, she plots on how to destroy her creator as brutally as possible. At heart, she’s friendly. Just suffering.

She would make a very huggable plushie! Not overly suitable for kids unless they're cool with all the body horror.

FrankenCluster could use someone big and strong like that. they could be strong enough to rip the her gem cluster apart, she hopes.
She finds herself scary and horrible to look at, whether someone else finds her a work of art or not is totally irrelevant to her. it would make her feel a little bit warm inside to know that something as easily frightened and impressionable as a child doesn't find her scary, though.

Then how about an hydraulic press? They can smash anything, maybe even diamonds.
Really? Honestly, I think she's rather cute more than horrible. Children can be able to see the real somebody even inside what others might percieve as "hideous".

as long as it gets her gems split apart or smashed beyond all repair, anything goes
compared to other things, perhaps. hence why she was Hematite's best creation. Maybe the company of a children that disregard's her appearance in order to remain friends with her will help her forget she's a hideous crime against gemkind.
