Candles burn, casting haunted shadows on the bare walls of my tomb. Though, I can find no comfort in the silence or solitude of my existence. I walk with demons weighing on my frozen heart - with only dismal memories of life and hope to rescue me from falling away all at once. In the darkness of the soul, I prey on the heavenly essence of those who have yet to live a single life-time. Shrouded by Death's restless wave of vile torment, I seek a path that may lead me to salvation. Never a celestial being, but a fallen prince damned to burn in the guilt of a blasphemous eternity. Forever condemned to wander in the night, and to drink in the emptiness of the dark. Forbidden to gaze again on Apollo's Decent. The only sunset's I may witness dwell in the decaying mirrors of my victims eyes. Blood remains a gift from the Devil - something of an unjust familiarity. A sanguinary resurrection of a beast too wild to tame, too jaded to care. Nevertheless, I accept this unholy chalice, shake his scalding hand, and drink to my fate. Then, perhaps, one day, when Hell is cold and Death is forgiving, I may live again.
