I just found out about it cause quote and curly Were hidden chars in the pixel version of Team fortress 2 called gang garrison 2. Thats how I found out about Cave story

I find the Machine Gun to be more useful in Hell (Sacred Grounds). My brother went with the Spur, and he's had a lot more trouble than I have.

Huh, really? I always thought the Machine Gun would be harder to use. Though I guess it would be interesting being able to hover around and stuff.

Hah, well then. I like the Spur because you don't need the little triangles to charge it up. So if you get hit, you don't have to worry about leveling down. And even though it takes a while to fully charge it, it's single shots are still pretty powerful, so you can keep plowing right on through. But what works, works. I mostly just used the Spur, Nemesis, and Missile Launcher and I beat it fine.

Well, a constant fire rate is a lot better on those flying cherub guys, as well as some of the bosses, but most of the time you have to resort to Curly's Nemesis for powerful attacks. The Spur's need to charge to be most useful is a big downside in most cases, and the floating can save your ass in many more.
