I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so as I got into modelling in 3D, it was only a matter of time before a TIE Fighter simply had to be made.... and here we are. Truth be told, I'm actually really pleased with how this came out. It might not measure up perfectly against blue prints of the TIEs, but it's close enough to put a grin on my face, and hopefully it'll appeal to any other Star Wars fans out there too
Tech specs:
Modelled in 3DS Max 8, over the course of a single night. Production time, about 3 hours, maybe 4.
Textures made by myself in Photoshop CS3 (plus some sundry stock PCB images from around the Net for some subtle bump mapping).

but the TIE-f is amazing, details and all, you really had to work guite a while on this thing. the wing-supporting thingies are really really great
I guess Imperial Stardestroyer is next then
