Description
Brightmoon was the first StarClan cat in the history of the Clans. She is an ancient spirit that resides among the ranks of StarClan, and she spends her time guiding cats (both living and dead) with her vast knowledge and wisdom. She is highly respected in StarClan, and it is considered an honor when she walks in the dreams of living cats. She is one of the few StarClan cats that is able to cross the border into the Dark Forest without fear of being attacked or getting lost in the starless territory. When she was alive, there was not yet an established ranking system, so cats turned to the most level-headed individuals of their groups for guidance. Had Brightmoon been alive during the present era, she would have likely been a leader. She serves as the figure of authority in StarClan, though she is difficult to find during moments where she is not needed, much to the annoyance of the other ancient spirits. However, she is known to suddenly appear when her authority is needed, such as when making decisions about which cats may be let into StarClan. Brightmoon is also able to freely pass between the StarClan territory and the territory of the living cats. When she does this, she tends to only make herself visible to one or two cats at a time.

Brightmoon is quiet and introspective. She tries to not let her own emotions get in the way of her responsibilities, which often comes across as cold and unfeeling when she has to make decisions or exercise her authority. She has a soft side, but this is rarely seen when she is around others.
