We're back with an important tip: 6-year-old nephew with a coke cup near by a notebook = a long waiting for technical assistance's PC returns!
For issue #550 published today (I know, we're later than ever!), we've brought you the most 'wacky' comic book heroes! It's not enough to be 'crazy' or 'comic' to join this select group... they must have as an intrinsic characteristic the constant breaking of the 4th wall (and any existing narrative rules)! Maybe you would include similar ones here like The Tick or the Creeper... but I don't think they break the 4th wall constantly. Even others like She-Hulk (John Byrne's run) and even Superman (with his famous 'wink at the reader' at the end of some adventures) can even extrapolate such a wall from time to time... but, I don't see this as a typical characteristic of these characters ! Badger or Moon Knight are 'crazy' too, however not enough for today's group!
This was a fun cover to make, especially as it gathered images from artist Bruce Timm, famous producer of the Batman, Superman and Justice League animated series! Timm was the one who brought hits like Animaniacs and Freakazoid!, which allowed Warner Bros to bet on delivering DC's heroes into their competent hands! I love Timm's trait, as it's clearly inspired by the master Jack Kirby but keeping the characters' faces 'clean' enough so they don't look weird! Bruce Timm is responsible for bringing new light to cartoons and especially to DC heroes! His animations are still among my favorites to this day! And, I believe, for a lot of people too!
