Poison Ivy burst onto the comics scene in Batman #181 (June 1966) and quickly established herself as Batman's most dangerous new villain. Her change (or acceptance) of sexuality in no way diminished the character! On the contrary, she strengthened him even more for a new generation! I really applaud DC for keeping Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn's relationship tight and strong! Something that could be fleeting in editorial terms seems to represent well the publisher's willingness to give some representation to the LGBTQUIA+ community.
Groot is one of those characters rescued from Marvel's vaults that is more successful today than at the time of its original creation. Interestingly, Groot was created by Dick Ayers, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby as a normally talking monster from Planet X! That was in November 1960, in the magazine 'Tales to Astonish' #13, already speaking on the cover his famous phrase among others: "Behold! I am Groot, the invincible! Who dares to challenge me??".
