Description
A topic that is always up to date, hehe.I´m not that happy with the composition - maybe I should have made a sketch before (I´ve painted this very spontaneously, without drawing the outlines before)
acrylics on canvas, 30cm x 30cm (and about 15 to 20 hours of work)
edit: I´ve called that painting "death doesn´t differ" (already a few days after uploading the picture)

I don't know, I think it's a great composition, good flow upward, killer lighting and pallet - dramatic deep shading. Lots of skill here. I am a stickler for a good title, though, I think it makes a difference in how you look at it. I would tweak the title: Death Doesn't Defer". Really nice piece.

the foramen magnum should be at the very back of the skull

A bit late, but: it's just at the right place (Iv'e painted that skull from a copy of a real skull).
The foramen magnum is not at the back, it's at the bottom of the cranium.

Funny you don't like the composition. I think that is one of the most unique things about it. It stood out to me for that reason. I love the depth and the concept. Great work.

Fascinating, what an awesome concept. Why aren't you happy with the composition? Because of it's slightly rough, gritty look? I think it only adds to the painting.
