Description
A topic that is always up to date, hehe.I´m not that happy with the composition - maybe I should have made a sketch before (I´ve painted this very spontaneously, without drawing the outlines before)
acrylics on canvas, 30cm x 30cm (and about 15 to 20 hours of work)
edit: I´ve called that painting "death doesn´t differ" (already a few days after uploading the picture)

A vacuum of death. Life being recycled and returned.

it is a vortex of vermin and bones, two things commonly found at the remains of many beings.
it is a macabre and depressing topic death, one that will make many stay away, yet you make it seem fascinating.

The swirling, floating feel of it all is divine. The way everythign is oriented in different directions really adds to the 'underwater' effect. The left claw of that bottom lobster looks unbelievably realistic. Great job on the lighting there.
You have a great way of fading things off into the distance with the use of purples and lighter colours.
To me, the chin of the human skull looks a little too large/broad. Though, you may be entirely right there; I don't see many skulls from that angle.
Really a stellar piece of work, once again. I hope you continue painting long into the future because you certainly are a creative and inspiring artist.

btw, the chin is not too big, I´ve taken a photo of a realistic skull as reference for this. (it´s just the angle that makes it look a bit strange)

I don't think I've seen anyone else's works that look anything like yours.
Sketch would have helped. It does look as though things were just placed, rather than organized. Nonetheless, it's still a decent piece.

But partly too artificial and partly too photo-realistic, for my taste! I love traditional paintings, they have more atmosphere!
But of course I´ll have to get used to digital art soon, it would help me getting faster, what is quite important for comissioned work.

beautiful tonal work in this, great job. i dont think any of the bad parts you mentioned are really noticable, and that usually comes from the work being great and the viewer - such as myself - not really needing to recognise the faults. great work.
