I really like The One Ardvark's portal girl.
Amberbub's OC sorta reminds me of Mantis from Guardians of the Galaxy. But pink.

i actually opened up commissions for the first time over the weekend. if it's not too much to ask, you have any tips for a noob?

#1 don't devalue your work and time ^_^ set the price that you feel works for how much work and time it takes to make a piece. SometimesΒ artist set the price low because they are afraid of not getting work and my professor told me that it makes the artist seem not valuable and thus people don't commission.
But at the same time don't go crazy with the price either XD
It also might vary (sketches are cheaper than a full body with color)
also PayPal is easy and most people have it~ I personally ask to be paid first before starting on anything, this might scare off some people...but as you do more commissions and show them you are reliable it shouldn't be a problem later on.
Ask lots of questions if you are unsure of what the person wants! If something doesn't make sense be sure to bring it up! references should get rid of many problems but sometimes a reference doesn't have all the info u need.
don't try and change your artstyle to match a reference...or say the person who's commissioning you's style (if they are an artist also) They paid you to draw it in YOUR art style because they like it~ if they wanted something different they would have gone to another artist~
