Retailer? Hmm, never consider it. I know that people say it's good to have a backup plan, but I just always loved being on stage acting and singing, so I could never picture myself doing something else. Except writing, but that's more of a hobby.
I have an idea, but it's incredibly risky and you'd have to have a firetruck-ton of luck for it to work. You could say screw the job, go out and try to pitch SuperCell as a professional comic or TV show and wait to see what happens. But like I said, a LOT of luck and REALLY risky. But, who knows? Some of the time it works out for people.
I hope this advice is the best. (Wouldn't really call it advice though...)

Patreon's a good idea! I've seen a lot of people get good support from that. But that's because they make really good and creative stuff. I'm pretty sure your comic won't be any different!

I think Lavani works for the secret division! Not by choice of course; they probably saw how exceptional and intelligent she was, so they took her family and the only way to cooperate is for her to infiltrate this new team and figure out their powers and plans. But how could she do that? Well, she's was in the wrong place at the right time apparently, and was a teen with ...heart of a superhero (as that scrawny boy[Quintin] called her), clearly getting into SuperCell couldn't have been that hard. And with how fragile and insecure she was before this, the team couldn't have been the wiser. Lavani knows it's just business but... what if she like her new team? Slowly, the cracks in her facade start to appear. SuperCell doesn't seem to notice this at all.
Except for Arrio. Why is it the little magician who is the embodiment of a shut down you ask? Why let's say he might have known about the secret division before this whole team thing came in. Why would he know?
... Because they killed his mother.

XD But anyhow, I'm glad you like the names! My personal favorite for Galaxy Girl were Astrid and Esther. I think I like Astrid more. When I think of Esther for her, I think of GG being this adorable nerd who never really talks, but is SUPER ULTRA MEGA powerful. I think I like just like Galaxy Girl in general.

Jackie = POWERHOUSE. (b/c powerful)
Quin = EXO-BLASTER (b/c he can shoot slime bullets.)
Arrio = PYRO-CASTER (b/c fire magic.)
Nathan = SLATE-STALKER(< name subject to change.)
Lavani = PINK CHEETAH (b/c you said you'd stick with that.)
Marvel & DC have names yes. BUT if you specify a character w/ same/similar name to have a different backstory then all's good. No copyright hassel.

No no no, your characters. My suggestions are always subject to change if you feel for something better. I'm glad I could jump start your thinking speed.
Cast-Out & Niteshade are actually really good. Gusher sounds much better, I wouldn't have thought of it.
I really like these names, you should do a title card set when you finalize their hero suits.
What if for a Nathan/Niteshade villain, you call her Aconite the Queen of Poisons (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aconitum ) b/c the plant it's derived from has an insanely rapid kill speed- under a minute. One method of safe purging is to light a fire on the site of poisoning, and after a few seconds submerge in water (or in a maybe case, Quin's gush.)

Moriarty in the Sherlock Holmes books was the master of the criminal underworld & was Holmes' intellectual equal. He'd commit a crime, Holmes would either stop it, solve it, or be unable to prevent it.
When comparing a villain to a hero w/ Moriarty & Holmes, you're stating that both are super smart & dangerous. Like Joker to Batman.

Start your comic by mid-April or early May, around the time exams & CIVIL WAR. That way every watcher can be ready to read them & have time. Also, if you message a friend on devART, you can find a collab-buddy do add background or colors or etc. And b/c collab, their watchers might take interest in your comic also. Cross-promoting.
