no prob bob it's the truth! and prices kind of depend on how much self-promotion you've done - the more exposure you've gotten the more you'll be able to charge. but based on common rates I'd say $15 for your traditional B&W drawings is totally reasonable and then scale up from there for color/painting/etc. 1 point is like 1 cent in terms of value - technically less since it's internet monopoly money - so that's something to keep in mind if you want to charge points for commissions. i'd also suggest submitting your work to a bunch of groups to get your name out there! i've had the most luck with mid-sized groups - 500 to 2000-ish members - that focus on a specific subject, like animals or women. the big art dump groups that accept anything aren't so great since your art will just get buried and few people will see it. there are also tons of commission advertisement groups on DA to help you find clients c:
