Everyone, meet Little Prince. He is one of our rescues, for whom I was called to pick up...and honestly, due to the shape he was in, I did not think he was gonna make it, but in my heart I had hope he would...and here he is now

He lives at a friends foster family now, within our cat rescue group, and this is his story:

Hello people!

I am Little Prince-a young black cat. Plain black, some would say, but the ladies who rescued me and take care of me assure me every day I am very special. They say they will post photos to show the world how nice, beautiful and special I really am.

I was rescued last summer. I was just a little kitten running around and all of a sudden something happened-I could not feel my legs so I dragged my body to a yard by the side of the road. When I was spotted, my little body and my wounds were already full of maggots.
A lady called another lady and all of a sudden I was taken to a doctor. They all made a fuss over me, checking my legs out, making faces, but nothing really hurt me, I was just really tired. They shaved my legs and my tummy and washed me for what seemed like ages. I got a lot of medicine and they put me to bed.

The next day everyone was surprised I was up and still there-I don't know where they thought I was going. As I showed movements in my legs, the doctor said I needed a leg surgery because it was broken. My spine was broken too, but there was still some hope, as I was pedaling my legs like riding a bicycle.
After my surgery, the ladies tried all kinds of stuff to get me walking, but I just couldn't.They were really sad, but I was happy they were with me. I ate a lot and played a lot.
The only thing I could not do is use my litter box.I went to see the doctor a lot. I had to wear that funny hat for a long time-I really did not like it.

A month ago I was castrated and my tail was amputated. I feel much better now and the lady dresses me in diapers and changes them a lot of times during the day, and also I get plenty of baths, after which I take a nap.

Wearing diapers means I can now move freely all over the lady's house. I am, what they call, a foster cat. I can play with other cats. I can also climb the cat tree!

Mostly I just hang around with the lady and try to do some work with her-I make funny faces and grab her pens and that makes her laugh.

She says I'm a Panther. Do not know who this Panther is.

I will never walk again, despite all the efforts of all the people that take care of me and the doctors, and I sometimes have trouble pooping......but I am happy. I would be even happier if all the humans that rescued me weren't worried about the bills I still have not payed at my doctor's office-the leg surgery, my long stays at the hospital, my meds, my tail amputation plus castration. They also take care for over 100 other cats, so I would love if they weren't worrying over my debt, and I also use a lot of diapers.
