7 minutes in heaven? Was this even a real thing outside of fanfiction? Not that you cared; the 6 bachelors linked arm in arm with the bachelorettes meant you couldn't complain about your situation. Each one of them held a piece of paper of different colours - so that there was to be no confusion on who was partnered with who. In all honesty, it was quite cute.
This was the third round, though you payed little attention to who had already went. Margaret probably, based on her red face and restless fingers. Illuminata had come around dangerously close to your spot with a hat full of handkerchiefs, glancing over potential victims. Her eyes glanced over yours and you looked away but it was too late. She made eye contact with you.
"I sense that our dear little princess is a little too relaxed." She spoke, almost with bite.
"You sense that I could condemn you if you decide to go against my wishes." You spoke, she recoiled, and you smirked as though this was the first time you abused your power.
"Alright jeez, maybe not the-"
"I'm joking Lumie." You chuckled and the only other person that smirked was Leon. You winked at him to send him blushing and he reacted, face growing crimson almost immediately. These people were almost too easy. You reached out for the hat, forgetting that blindfolds were a key part of the ritual and Amber was at your side quickly, cupping your eyes with her small fingers.
"Can you see?" She asked.
"Yes." You lied. Amber tightened her grip until you felt your eyeballs would pop right out.
"I'm kidding Amber! I'm kidding - I swear I'm as blind as a bat!"
You couldn't see it but Amber smiled.
"Good."
Illuminata tipped the hat towards you, and you fingered the brim for a second before plucking a piece of cloth from the hat. Its colour would decide who your companion would be for the next seven minutes.
The crowd gasped.
"What's going on?" You asked and Amber quickly lifted her hands from your face. You blinked and stared at a green handkerchief.
"I still don't know what's going on." You spoke.
You felt the air tense.
"Good luck." Illuminata said, and you knew immediately who she was on about.
Said bachelor was sitting in a corner, the least likely of them all to participate in this fun little game. You begun with humour.
"Ah Dylas - my mane man."
He was very red.
"I am never going in there with her."
"Come on. Don't be a neigh-sayer."
He was being pushed forward by Doug.
"Doug you piece of crap leave me alone."
Doug laughed.
"Come on don't dally, I know days like this can really stirrup emotions but you need to be a stallion."
Leon joined in.
"Stop hoarsing around Dylas. We all want to see what colts out of this."
Arthur was next to speak.
"As a gentleman I need to ask everyone to stop. Dylas is so dun with this."
You snickered and watched as Bado attempted to get the man up. Poor guy. You almost felt bad for him.
Arthur was right at least, Dylas was done. He did not look prepared at all to go into the closet with you. You had a trump card however.
"I guess I'll just have to go with Doug then."
Dylas flinched and his body turned to stone. Doug didn't seem too happy either.
"Wait what?"
"Oh well, he'll probably be better at this anyway - right Doug?" You winked at him and he seemed to have grasped it by then. The rest of the crowd were loving the performance.
You looked off into the distance.
"Margaret touch me up would you? I need to look my absolute best."
"You're perfect already," Doug interrupted, and rested his arm around your hip.
Dylas stood up quickly, without Bado's help.
"W-wait! He's not allowed to do that! I mean, she picked out green right?" He was yelling. He continued but in such mumbles no-one could decipher him. "She picked me."
"Alright christ." You spoke. "If you wanted to go with me so bad you should have just went right away."
It didn't take long for Dylas to realise he had been tricked. However, before he could sit back down, Bado and Doug pushed him forward with so much force he could not counter, and you continued the momentum so that he would land in the closet.
"Wish me luck everyone!" You said before climbing in and shutting the door.
Everyone exhaled.
"What the hell was that?" He spluttered.
"Teamwork."
The answer did not suffice. He folded his arms and it was a clear sign that if you did not step up your game, this would be where the fun would end. Couldn't have that happening now. You wouldn't get a better chance than this to make that cute little face of his bright red in embarassement.
"Dylas?" You asked, trying to enter from different direction.
"What?" His tone was not friendly.
"I-I think. I-"
"Spit it out." His voice was consistently prickly but he was looking at you out of the corner of his eye.
"You're just so cool and I'm really happy to be here with you. I think I might even-"
His blush was dominating his entire face like a fever.
"I love you Dylas."
"What?!" You had never seen him in such a flurry. His hand was shaking, covering the tip of his lip as if it would make any difference to your view of his bright red skin."Y-you. You." He attempted to speak but his tongue betrayed him and would do little more than confused utterances.
As he was still, you pecked him on the lips before he could retaliate and you had him right there. He was yours. Sorted and done. Now it was time to see his reaction.
Or at least a reaction. Any would suffice honestly - as long as he would cease being frozen in time while the rest of the world continued.
A few seconds was what it took to process what had happened, he broke out of the closet, the lock being no match for the strength of his curtness - and was now just a mere blur, far away from the room.
You looked at everyone, staring at you - unblinking.
"Do you- think he needs a doctor?" Kiel inquired and after a moment of silence most everyone was on the floor, laughing and clutching their stomachs.
Leon showed his appreciation by patting you on the shoulder after Vishnal had assisted you to your feet.
"Can you believe he's a grown man?" Arthur asked.

You shook your head.
