you know, I've seen this style used a couple of times before and I'm really interested in trying it out myself. how difficult was it for you to do this? did you do it in Paint or something like, say, Photoshop?

This type of thing is pretty simple. I use SAI's binary tool, it's excellent. I've used photoshop before but I can never get the lines to be quite smooth enough (always ends up really jagged), though this might be due to my old and crappy tablet and driver. Paint is okay too, but I like other programs more because I can use layers, layer style, all that good stuff.
