after reading a string of Spider-verse comics, I decided to come up with my own wall crawler, and here he is: Spider-man from univers 626!

His name is Benjamin Parker (junior), he is the son of Ben and May Parker, and he's Peter Parker's cousin. Ever since Ben and May took in Peter after his parent left, Peter and Ben became more like brothers than cousins, and they always had each others back. As Peter developed a love for science, Ben had a passion for boxing, and the two always supported each other. During Ben's school years, he spent some time in detention for fighting (he only got into fights because we was defending Peter from bullies). He also wasn't the smartest student, so he frequently ask his cousin for help with his homework. Then came that fateful day when Peter and Ben went to an exhibition demonstrating of nuclear laboratory waste materials, Ben Parker was bitten on the hand by a spider that had been irradiated by a particle accelerator used in the demonstration before it died from the radiation. On their way home, Peter was almost got hit by a car, but Ben quickly grabbed his cousin and jumped out of the way. Then he realized that he was clinging to a wall while holding his cousin with one arm. It was then Peter associated Ben's new found abilities with the spider bite. After discovering his powers, both Ben and Peter encountered an ad offering a cash prize for staying in the ring for three minutes with a professional wrestler, Peter decided this would be a good way to test his cousins powers. Ben entered the ring wearing a mask he made, and easily defeated his opponent. After the fight, A TV producer observed Ben's performance and convinced him to go on television with his 'act.' Ben and Peter worked together to design a full costume for Ben and fabricating a fluid similar to a spider's web and wrist-mountedweb-shooters, calling himself Spider-man, becoming an immediate sensation.

Following his first TV appearance, Ben failed to act to stop an escaping thief, claiming that it was not his responsibility to do so. Ben forgot the incident as his fame rose, but days later, Ben and Peter returned home at night to find Ben's father had been murdered. Learning the police had the burglar responsible holed up in a warehouse, Ben changed to Spider-Man and easily captured him only to discover it was the same thief he had allowed to escape earlier. Filled with remorse, he realized that when someone has power, he has an obligation to use it responsibly, so he decided to become a superhero. The first problem the Ben faced was the lack of money with the death of his father. As Spider-Man, Ben was not able to continue his career as TV star, because of J. Jonah Jameson, owner of the Daily Bugle. Jameson started a campaign against Spidey, stating that he was a bad influence for children and a criminal for taking justice into his own hands, referring to the situation with the burglar. These protests started taking effect and turning the public against Spider-Man, causing Spidey's manager to leave him, impeding his ability to earn money even as Spider-Man. While Ben took on various odd jobs to help his mother pay the bills, Peter got a job at the Bugle as a photographer. Peter told Ben that he could take this opportunity not only to take pictures of his cousins heroics and selling them to Jameson, but he could also go into places that neither Ben nor Spider-man could. So the two became a crime fighting team, Peter being the eyes and brains, and Ben being the muscle. As time passed, and more powerful criminals came on the scene, Peter created new suits and gear for Ben, while he learned more fighting styles to throw off his enemies.

Years later, Peter met a girl named Gwen Stacy and the two began dating. Ben didn't like that Peter was spending so much time with Gwen, especially since it made it harder for Spider-man to fight crime without his cousin's help. The two got into a fight, and Peter stormed off. Later, Ben apologized and asked Peter to help him learn what he needs to know so that Pete could spend more time with his girlfriend. Everything was going fine, until the Green Goblin kidnapped Gwen. Ben found them at the Brooklyn Bridge where Spider-man and the goblin fought and Gwen fell from the bridge. She died when Spider-Man reached her with a web-line, breaking her neck. The Green Goblin escaped. A furious Ben searched, found and battled the goblin again. In this battle Norman was impaled with his own Goblin glider, apparently killing himself. When Ben told Peter what had happened, Peter was both heartbroken, and filled with rage. He blamed Ben for Gwen's death, and left New York, never wanting anything to do with Ben ever again. Now Ben Parker not only lost his father, but now his cousin and closest friend. He still clings to hope that one day his cousin will forgive him, and the two could be friends again. But until then, Ben Parker fights crime alone, racked with even more guilt.
