Description
Robbed of her powers and her heyday of youth long past, her friends gone, dead or parted ways. Ruby Fox, the former model and British super heroine known as Voltage stares down the barrel of an empty future. Worse yet dark forces lurk in the shadows and the corners of the minds eye, a black sun, an echo of the past and a threat of the future to the existence of everything. Can Ruby Fox defy fate to grasp another chance for a better future ?

A mock cover for a secondary character from the classic Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell superhuman story, 'Zenith' that featured in the British anthology comic 2000AD in the late 1980's. The design is a homage to the trade collection covers and the idea was mostly inspired by a 'what if' type scenario i was thinking of where Ruby Fox might try to avoid the pathway that ultimately doomed her.

Ruby Fox was originally a protagonist but as the series went on she would fall after two long thought dead comrades returned to evolve her powers. Regaining her youth along with an exceptional boost in power, she seemed to grow increasingly ruthless, spiteful, and narcissistic ( Suffice to say i liked her better when she was in her 40's than her regained 20's so i drew that older version in her civilian clothes ).

Her base powers were impressive, with superhuman strength ( sufficient to shove a bus into the Nazi superhuman Masterman, it didn't stop him, but that's besides the point ), durability, flight, and the control of all forms of electricity.
