So yeah, i've decided i've gone long enough without using my tablet properly so i tried a different technique just to get me into the swing of things. I wont lie, its not far from tracing, but its just untill i get used to the digi-paint method.

Anyway, say hello to bobby the little octopus, he's a fun little chap who currently adorns my desktop for some reason - i absolutely love the original peice, and how it screams 'boston accent' for some reason XD

ok, so i've done a few of the highlighs and a few more details then i was supposed to but im going to upload a pic here anyway instead of skipping to the end. I've done more smoothing and fixing of errors, especally on the two left arms and the lips, but most of the time has gone into detailing - that is, highlights, the singular vein (badly) a suction cup etc etc.

Next up i should have finished the highlights and all smoothing/fixing, then i've just gotta do something with the floor and add in the occassional shadow detail and im done with m first decent digipaint

By the way, highights are WAAAAY easier than i thought after a bit of fiddleing with brush settings and whatnot. Yay for shine!
