Thanks...yeah, only graphite and charcoal for the black and white and the paper is rose colored canson pastel paper

Thanks for the comments...I do the shading with graphite pencil using blending stumps and light tissue to blend...then I use white charcoal pencil to bring out the highlights.

so if i understand correctly: you filled an area than blend it and than you used the white pencil?

Yeah...I am drawing on color paper and use the white pencils for highlight
