Year: 2011Client: DC Comics & SONY
Media: Media: Pencil, PITT Pen and COPIC marker on Strathmore Drawing paper, then colored with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Here's my UNCHARTED cover, done for SONY as a giveaway poster at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and then used as a variant cover for DC Comics' UNCHARTED comic last month. The Drake face is different than the poster version: I redid it because I didn't think I came close to the way Drake looks in the game. This is a little closer, but it usually takes me 5 to 7 attempts before I get close to a character.
I love the UNCHARTED games. This cover was designed as an homage to Drew Struzan's INDIANA JONES movie posters. Imagine my surprise when Drew himself was standing at my table at San Diego, saying hi and thumbing through my portfolio...

Just beautiful! I absolutely love how you were integrated an Indiana-Jones feel into this Uncharted cover. I think you got Drake's attitude at least and that's already great compensation. Love this cover and seriously look forward to more Uncharted pieces.

Awesome! It's so beautiful and it definitely feels like Struzan movie poster. I think all of the cover art for the games should be just like this!
