Year: 2011Client: DC Comics & SONY
Media: Media: Pencil, PITT Pen and COPIC marker on Strathmore Drawing paper, then colored with Adobe Photoshop CS2.
Here's my UNCHARTED cover, done for SONY as a giveaway poster at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and then used as a variant cover for DC Comics' UNCHARTED comic last month. The Drake face is different than the poster version: I redid it because I didn't think I came close to the way Drake looks in the game. This is a little closer, but it usually takes me 5 to 7 attempts before I get close to a character.
I love the UNCHARTED games. This cover was designed as an homage to Drew Struzan's INDIANA JONES movie posters. Imagine my surprise when Drew himself was standing at my table at San Diego, saying hi and thumbing through my portfolio...

Yeah, here it was break for us, so i was out of town some where.
We obviously have two different views on these characters. Granted Nate is in love with Elena (sadly). Ok so maybe over doing it with Elena needs to die, she can live, just i still think that Chloe is a much more.. interesting character.
I'm just upset that she doesnt have a larger role in uncharted and in Nates life. And i started playing uncharted at uncharted 2, then went back and played uncharted 1. That might also play a huge role on why i think Nate is more compatible with Chloe.
Please please please no spoilers for the 3rd one. I have to wait till after exams to play it ):

''Granted Nate is in love with Elena (sadly)'' - Wow, how mature to add the word ''sadly'' to the sentence. Don't get so upset about it just because Nate loves a girl who is significant to his life then Chloe.
And again, I like Chloe...No, scratch that, I like the ENTIRE cast. it's what makes Uncharted...well Uncahrted. Quirky, funny, and so on...And y'know, Why don't you explain to me why you don't like Elena, I'd love to know your reasons, because that way I may be able to understand your...well, your reasons better.
And uhm, sorry about the spoilers, I thought you already finished the game. ^^'

Theres no proper reason to be mature in this kind of debate. It's over a video game, not politics haha. But like i said before, i started off with uncharted 2, which was mainly based around Nate and Chloe, rather than Nate and Elena (the first uncharted). Then i went back and played the first one. By that time i did not like Elena because she was reintroduced (like i said, technically she was introduced to me for the first time.... because i started off with uncharted 2) and ruined Chloe's and Nate's relationship.
I didn't know any of the first uncharted story, i didn't even know Elena was a character in the game until she ruined Chloe and Nate's relationship, when she was put in uncharted 2. That is probably why i hold a grunge towards her. Because for me Chloe and Nate were first then Elena. By the time i played the first uncharted Chloe and Nate had already sunken as a couple... Thats it.
Also, if you tell me i should of played the first uncharted first to have avoided all this mayhem, my response is this:
My cousin showed me the game (before he showed me i had no idea what uncharted was) when he came down to visit (told me to buy it). So i bought it with out thinking twice, assuming that i wouldn't like it and never play it again because him and i have different game interests. In the end i loved the game so much. I remembered that what i had just played was uncharted 2... it hit me that i should play the 1st uncharted to get the whole story. That is why i didn't play the first one first.
Yeh, i got it for christmas from my brother, but i have to wait till after exams to play it. Cuz if i start playing now, im just going to fail my exams :L

That doesn't matter at all. You should be mature with this topic, especially when you know that I like Elena. It's disrespectful to say something like that to someone who likes her. You don't see me going all like: ''Fuck Chloe, she's a stereotypic slut!'' do you?
Just because you missed the first Uncharted game, doesn't mean you can't ignore that Nate fell in love with Elena first. Elena came first in Uncharted, and that's a FACT. Chloe didn't even exists it Uncharted 1, and she was only created in Uncharted 2 to bring drama and tension to the story line, End of story.
Im not gonna continue this argument forever. Either you accpet the fact that Chloe was nothing more than plot excuse, or you leave the reply button alone.

Now that you say it, im pretty sure i know how you view Chloe: as a stereotypical slut. No but i do see trying to defend Elena, which is what should happen in a debate, one vs the other. I'm defending what i believe, while your defending what you believe.
But for me i has everything to do with it. Uncharted 2 came first in the series for me. Therefore Chloe came first, and i didnt not know she was just a side character to "create tension" and to build the plot. For you that is what she is, for me she is not that. It's only two different opinions, very different opinions. Also if Chloe was only a side character then why is she reintroduced in uncharted 3 (so ive heard from my cousin)? If she was just a person to create tension or as you say it a plot excuse... then as i said before, why is she reintroduced, and not just tossed aside at thee end of the 2nd and never brought up again?
Im not going to accept the fact that Chloe was nothing more than a plot excuse, but i can leave the reply button alone.. unless it feels necessary for me to respond.

She is in Uncharted 3, but only for like...the first part of the game. she's not even seen in the ending, were Nate asks Elena to marry her.

If your not going to accept a fact that she was made for plot device in Uncharted 2, then that's your problem, and as I said, you should leave the reply button alone before I block you. Im not going to repeat myself a third time.

Sully is looking very, erm, Sully here. I like the whole thing! Although a small gripe is the difference between Drake here and Drake game-look, it is a labour of love and it is evident throughout. Love it, love it!
