This story began a few months before the first meeting of Robert and two cat brothers - Jan and Zenon. That day there was giant traffic on the city streets. If you were vigilant, you could see a small figure quickly moving from the alley to the alley. It was a cat who was looking for any place in a hurry. She was carrying a small orange kitten in her teeth. She seemed to be looking for a safe shelter for him. Maybe some danger was coming? The kittylooked determined to move her baby out of danger.

At one point, the kitty found a large, multistory building with glass walls. There were many young humans around. However, they didn't look dangerous, but more stressed. Anyway, she didn't have more time. She took the opportunity and slipped inside the building. In the corridors full of rows of doors, she found a pillow lying on the floor. She put the kitten gently on it. "You must stay here, Benek. It's for your own good. Please. Be careful. I love you." The mother licked her son's forehead tenderly and sadly left this place. It was their last meeting.

Little Benek went to an unusual building. As it turned out, that building was Orimada City University of Technology. The kitten raised the interest of college students and professors. Nobody was against his living at the university. And his life was good. Students always brought him treats to eat. He became the living mascot of the university and nothing bad could happen to him.

However, everything changed every afternoon. Students and professors returned home. Then the university became a small kingdom for Benek. The cat had the entire library and all rooms at his own disposal. As it turned out, he became more and more interested in technology. In the evenings he was creating his small machines and inventions. Some of them were successful, some not so much. Slowly, he began to understand the basic principles of mechanics. It was not so easy due to pesky mice, which were stealing various nuts and bolts for fun. These incidents helped Benek stay fit. Over time, he probably became the fastest cat in the city and surrounding areas. After all, lightnings on his fur pattern couldn't be coincidence.

However, if there was something that was Benek's problem, it was loneliness. Sure, working on inventions requires silence and focus. But how to find a joy in creativity if you can't present the final results to anyone? Besides, sometimes you just want to talk to someone other than just your own thoughts. But Benek didn't know anyone. His mother mentioned once to him about his newly born cousins. But what were their names? Zan and Jen? Or something like that? Anyway, where to even look for them? Orimada is a fairly large city...

Time passed, and the kitten began to grow. It was autumn that day. The sun was slowly going down when Benek tried to create a new invention with the use of a coffee grinder. He didn't know then that his new passion will born soon. At one point, his ears caught the sound of creaking. The kitten looked at the sky. The wild geese began their journey south. Benek looked for a moment, then ran to the roof of the university as soon as possible. The cat felt the warmth of the sun on his fur, and the autumn wind gently swayed his whiskers.

"Wow", the cat whispered to himself.

The wild geese looked majestic in flight. This elegance of movement, a sense of freedom, a feeling of lightness in the air.

"Flying... It must be fantastic!", Benek was enchanted.

It was winter outside, when after many his labours, the cat finally came up with a sensible idea. In the evenings he began to prepare his small project, based on a small, improved hang glider and a skateboard. When everything was ready, Benek decided to test his idea the next day in the city park. He didn't know yet that this day would change his life...
