A very smooth design. The coloring is also nice. All your stuff is outstanding from a design standpoint. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Very nice design, and the overall composition and angle really make this work. Power, speed and air superiority; shuttle or not, this is very well done.

Thanks It was an older piece, but I think it's one of the best I have ever done. Composition was really tricky here, as I couldn't get the shuttle's materials to match the scene lighting, so I ended up mixing a lot of color layers to make them look more natural.

Another AdamKop Masterpiece!! Love the overall metal menace of the piece

Thanks I must confess this is one of my favourite renders as well.

Like that kind of blur on the clouds, and especially that fogy line in the winds ...its perfect!

Thanks There's quite a bit of photo-merging here so the backgrounds has to look good
It was a chore to do all the shadows and colors right though since everything was made under different lighting conditions.

really sick, what software did you use to make this, how many Poly's and how did you texture it?

AdamKop In reply to PainFooll [2012-10-01 13:37:28 +0000 UTC]
Thanks I used 3ds max for modeling, photoshop for texturing and post-processing. I'm not sure how many polys there are in total, but it's most likely just a few thousad. Texturing was really easy - it's just a single file with flat top-down texture. Only the rear tail fins have been unwrapped at an angle so that the logo fits nicely.

The primitives call them Thunder Stars, but some believe the "moving stars" are actually vehicles with people inside them who may hold the answers.

I like the stealth fighter-ish look of it. I'm surprised this wasn't submitted to the group's ship art jam though.

Thanks It's not a star wars ship so I couldn't submit it to that

It's got a very 'Supreme Commander' feel to it, if you've ever played the game. If not, I recommend googling/playing it.
It's a brilliant piece, and also very vaguely remeniscent of my Cybetronian concept sketch: [link]

Ah I've never seen the game (I'm not a PC gamer, my 3DS is all I need ) but it does look like a setting in which this ship might fit in.

Fair enough, but yes, it's where it would fit in brilliantly. By the looks of this you could have been doing professional renders for the game.

Thanks That would be awesome if these kind of ships began flying soon. I'm sure we'll see something as soon as space trips become more popular
